The Adventure Begins, Or Rather Continues
Today is departure day. Finally on the road to Africa. It bodes to be a very long 48 or more hours. Still don't have and itinerary for the flight but at least I did get my passport. I am anxious to get this show on the road!!! Will try and keep you advised of the progress.
Been listening to the artillery off in the distance and my thoughts have been wandering the centuries. I can't tell much if any difference between the sound of a 12 pound Napolean v.s. the 105mm I have been hearing this morning. Overwhelming urge to form a line of battle and march to the sound of the guns. Need to get over that cause if I hear gunfire in Africa i'm sure it won't be Yankee reenactors, I probably should just seek cover.
