Hurt Feelings

I have received a fair amount of negative feedback from my last post. Apparently, I have used more than my fair share of "naughty" words (actually, I did write the word "damn" twice. One was in a "Simpsons" Mr. Burns catch phrase. You know the one he uses to describe his many lawyers) and most importantly, I have apparently hurt feelings in my joy about receiving a Christmas Card. I meant absolutely no disrespect to my many friends and family who email me almost daily and who have sent me wonderful care packages. I certainly do not mean to imply that you folks don't care or are not doing more than you need to! I am deeply grateful for every package and email I get. However, mail call is something different. We get mail around here a couple of times a week dependent on the flight schedule. It really means a lot when there is something with your name on it in the mail pile. On the flip side, there is a deep disappointment when mail comes and you are not represented. That is just human nature and not always getting mail is a fact of life. The last comment of my post yesterday was just verbalizing my Joy at receiving a Christmas card. It made me Happy. A couple of days before when I received the Christmas care package from my Bride, it made me happy. I did not mean to imply that I expected people to send me stuff I merely was saying that I was grateful that I actually got stuff. So I do apologize is any feelings were hurt, it was not my intention. NOW GET OVER IT and have a fine Navy day!
