I Am Still A Fobbit...Aren't I?

I was reading this article from the Intel dump and I became deeply concerned. I thought I was a Fobbit. I wanna be a Fobbit. I promised my Bride that I was the very definition of a Fobbit. Now my most closely held security blanket belief has been called into doubt. I don't live on a big Coalition base but I do live on a fairly big Iraqi one. There is a tiny coalition FOB on the Iraqi base but they are the take down team and KBR has left the building taking all MWR, Laundry, and chow with it. We get mail about once a month...maybe and there really ain't no outgoing mail other than giving it to a convoy heading out to coalition FOB. There ain't no exchange but there are a couple of hadji shops and if you give Honest Ahmed enough scratch he will get just about anything you want...in time. I have good accommodation in a renovated Iraqi barracks. No internet or TV but I do have hot water in the shower. I live inside the wire though it is Iraqi owned and guarded wire. I have a nice office with a "borrowed" chair and a folding table. Actually, the office is "borrowed" as well but possession is 9/10 of the equation. Squatter's rights and all that. I don't hafta wear my armor and k-pot unless I leave the Iraqi wire. I do carry my weapons and they are loaded at all times. Hell, I sleep with them but I sincerely hope and am fairly confident that I won't ever hafta fire'em in anger. I don't have my own wheels but I generally get where I am going in Iraqi owned vehicles. I saw this one Iraqi Chief Warrant Officer who had himself a fine looking Chevy 2500 extended cab pick up with a serious 12 mm machine gun mount on it. It was one cool pick up. Most Iraqi "tactical vehicles are little Nissan sport pickups with gun mounts although they are getting some Hummers in the mix. Point is I do tool around in NTV like a good Fobbit but I think in this part of the Shire the Non-Tactical Vehicle is the Tactical vehicle so I guess it don't really count. So where do I fit in the Hierarchy of Suck. I thought I was a Fobbit...I wanna be a Fobbit...Yeah I'm still a Fobbit but on the wrong side of the tracks in a low income bad neighborhood.

Just don't forget the advisors poem:
I can't blow the whistle
I can't ring the bell
But if this train
Jumps the tracks
See who catches Hell
