I Feel The Need To Step Out Of The Century

It has been a couple of days since I have posted and that usually gets me in trouble with friends and family. Tonight will be the night of the shameless plugs. It looks like the big reenactment events of the 2004/1864 season will be the 140th Spotsylvania in northern Virginny and the 140th Battle of Franklin Tennessee. I plan on attending them both. The Ragged First was indeed engaged at Spotsylvania so we can go as ourselves. I highly recommend you visit the website, it looks like they are really pulling out the stops to recreate the earthworks for the event. They seem to get more detailed every year. The Ragged First was not engaged at Franklin which essentially the death knell for Hood's Army of the Tennessee. However, the second most famous Texas Brigade was. That would be Hiram Granbury's Texas Brigade in Major General Patrick Cleburne's division. I hope we will portray them. Cleburne is one of my favorite historical figures from the War of Northern Aggression. That just about sums it up for tonight nothing much happening, just ready to go home.
