Very Disturbing

DISCLAIMER: THIS POST COMES DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO EXPRESSING POLITICAL VIEWS WHICH I DON'T LIKE TO DO 'CAUSE ALL POLITICIANS ARE PRETTY MUCH PARASITES SUCKING THE LIFE FROM OUR NATION. SAID VIEWS BELONG ONLY TO THE AUTHOR AND ARE NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF ANY ORGANIZATION OR GROUP. BEAR IN MIND THAT THE AUTHOR IS A FERVENT BELIEVER IN THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE STATES AND A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT THAT IS LIMITED TO ONLY THOSE POWERS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED BY THE CONSTITUTION IN THE STRICTEST INTERPRETATION. EVERYONE ELSE IS JUST WACK!

I read something on The Mudville Gazette the other day that has had me alternating between anger and extreme disappointment. It was an article concerning military wives wanting to vote Kerry cause he would bring their husbands home. WTF is that about! Before the job is done? I measure the quality of women, especially military wives against just one standard, my Bride. I always find them lacking but this extreme is ridiculous. My Bride would never, but never, dishonor my service in that way. She understands why we are out here. She does here part, which is infinitely more difficult than what we in the service do, it is the toughest job in the Navy and I would believe the other services as well. Are other spouses really so shallow, so callous to the sacrifices of their loved one, so immaturely selfish? I didn't think it to be true. My Bride is none of those things, she is the antithesis of it! When she is called, she is there, when she is challenged, she overcomes. At a moments notice she can take all family responsibility on to her shoulders and carry it for an indefinite period of time. She doesn't do this because she likes it. She knows it is necessary to support the mission and that it is a mission worth doing. She would never complain to me about the sacrifices she is forced to make. I know how difficult this last deployment has been for her, but she never once complained about it. She certainly wouldn't actively work to invalidate the work that we have done out here. Enduring Freedom is worth the cost. Iraqi Freedom is worth the cost. The Global War On Terrorism is worth the cost. My Bride would never cheapen the sacrifice made be so many. It saddens me and disappoints me that other service members are not as blessed as I am. I used to believe that all military wives were generally built of stearner stuff, I guess I was wrong.

TO THE TYRANT NEVER YIELD
