Hardtack and Havoc

An Auspicious Day!

Have been real busy lately, just no time to pontificate. I have got a lot of posts queued up and I will get to them as soon as possible, including the hatemail I got a while back (ain't that the coolest! I actually got hate mail!)...But in the mean time I can't let this day go by unmentioned! Do you know what today, the 17th of January is! Today is Lee-Jackson day! On this day we celebrate the lives of two of America's greatest heroes. Robert Edward Lee was born on 19 January 1807 and Thomas Jonathon Jackson, Old Blue Light, was born on 21 January 1824. The holiday was observed last Friday this year to deconflict it with another great American hero's day, Martin Luther King, but it is really today. So to all, have a great Lee-Jackson day and remember:

"Poor is the nation that has no heroes, but beggared is the nation that has heroes and forgets them."

TO THE TYRANT NEVER YIELD
