Hardtack and Havoc

A private of the 1st Texas Volunteer Infantry Civil War Reenactor with a day job in Uncle Sugar's Navy trapped in the unholy land of New England...I wish I was still in Iraq.

Can't Seem To Express Myself

My last posting vexes me. I still have not conveyed the sentiment I was hoping to convey. This nation is as strong as it today precisely because we fought the War of Northern Aggression. Only a nation with a strong central government AND unprecedented individual freedom can be as powerful as the United States of America. That does not mean that our Founding Fathers did not mean what they wrote in the Constitution and that all of it is not applicable to today's society. In 1861 the defenders of the Constitution did an almost correct thing for the wrong reason. Today the Constitutionally guaranteed liberties are eroding at an ever fast rate. I would cite eminent domain abuses, federal government subversion of the will of the states and way out of the box judicial decisions. The Constitution of the United States must be the preeminent guiding document of our government. It is under attack and the ONLY way to defend it is through the power of the ballot but never forget that the government of this nation IS SUPPOSED TO BELONG TO THE PEOPLE.

TO THE TYRANT NEVER YIELD
