TO THE TYRANT NEVER YIELD

Hello,

Hi everyone.

We are going to be doing a lot of traveling the next several weeks. We are going to Texas for one thing. Cannot wait to go home to the Republic! Unfortunanlty, we will not get to go everywhere we want to go. Last week we visited our little baby blue brothers at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. Went to see all the pretty planes at their wonderful museum. We met Ed's Father, a blues suit B-52 driver for 20+ years, there and he took Chaos, Mayhem and Entropy around and told them about all the exibits. The kid's, particularly Chaos, love it.

Thank you for all the message of support in September when this is all over I will get Ed to either continue blogging more often or give it up. I hope he does continue blogging. Unfortunantly he is just too busy with work and working on his off duty education. He already has a masters but is trying to finish an 18 month Command and Staff course in about nine months. If he gets it done maybe it will help get him promoted and we can move the hell out of Connecticut. The kid's are actually going out of their way not to bother him while he is studying. They want to leave here too. The kids don't care for Connecticutt any more than Ed or I.

Oh, the other day, we went to Six Flags as a family, it was actually a Command Picnic but it involved very little interaction with the other members. It was so much fun to see the looks on the kid's faces. They had so much fun! Entropy, who just turned four, (Uhgg! I'm getting old) had so much fun and she kept a smile on her face the whole time. It was so great to see the young ones smiling and enjoying themselves.

The kiddos have had a busy summer. They all have had swimming lessons which they greatly enjoyed. Entropy went to Dance camp and took gymnastics. On Father's day, she had her first dance recital. She was so cute and it was so funny see a bunch of three year olds up on stage trying to dance together:) She did the whole dances and was not the least bit shy about being on stage. Mayhem is also doing gymnastic this summer. Both Chaos and Mayhme went to Judo Camp where Chaos earned his orange belt. Chaos has also been learning to drum with a local junior fife and drum corps. The two oldest went to summer school as well. They really enjoyed summer school (what is up with that? Summer school is supposed to be to horrible to contemplate so they won't wanna go) I try hard to keep them busy so they do not have a chance to miss their dad when he is gone. I spend most of my time in the car waiting or taking someone somewhere.

I have been making a concious effort not to TV, the news just makes me really mad. I just get so upset. How did we allow the politicians to screw up our wonderful country? How can we tolerate the biased unimportant crap that the media tries to pass off as legitimate and important? What is up with that? What is up with the judicial system? When did the Judicial system take over Legislative branch? Well enough of that of that.

Well, for all you that have no experience with the military or the lifestyle, one of the hardest thing about the military life is its transient nature. Recently, I made a good friend. She is an Air Force wife whose husband is a flight surgeon taking a course at Yale. We spent a lot of time together, her and her four children and me and my three kids. We had a very good time together and our personaities meshed just right. Even our kids got along well. Par for the course, the Air Force just PCS'd them to San Antonio. No more getting the kids together. Yes, we can talk and cry on the phone to each other. We can encourage each other but it is not the same. I am very thankful though that I did meet her. She has left footprints on our lives. She is such a wonderful person. I have met so many wonderful people in my life, but it hurts to have them leave or you leave them. Yes, the good side; you get to meet wonderful people the bad side is you are always saying goodbye to people, places, and things you love. You get to a point where you do not want to say good bye or even meet new people. After a while, it gets so hard to let someone in. Another good side of this lifestyle; you get to see a lot of beautiful place. My children and I have not yet been out of the country (Ed has been on every continent except Austrailia and Antartica) but we have seen a lot of the US. It is beautiful. I know for a fact I would have never seen NYC with out being in the Military because my love would have willingly taken us. I had to bug him non-stop until he was willing and we are only two hours away. His Sister even lives their! He has some irrational dislike of all things norther, particularly large cities. We are planning a lot more sight-seeing before we leave the Northeast. I promised the boys we would take them to Boston and see the Revolutionary War sites and the USS Constitution. They also want to go to Philly for the same kind of stuff. My kids like historical sites. They have something in common with their dad. He can wonder a battlefield ad infinitum.

Okay, I have gotten much long winded, for that you have my apologies. I have been doing much better on housework. I am still not doing as well as I want to. I have a problem with consistency, but I have been working on my FLYLADY stuff. It does help...If I ever can get this consistency thing down. In our house there is only one thing that is consistant and that is the inconsistency. It drives my love nuts since he likes order. Oh well, we are taking it one day at a time. Okay, that's enough of my life.
