Okay. I have to share some with you all. I am laughing and I cannot stop the power to be around here. My nine year son goes to a public school up here in CT. I have had to tell him all the time to stop with the Civil War stuff at school. I know he and his Dad are complete Civil War buffs but he does not need to press issues at school. As his Dad says, "actual learning has no place iin government education". They have a little class paper that his teacher gives out every Friday and it goes home with the students. Well, this week, I was talking to him about Lee/Jackson Day (in VA his old school celebrated the holiday). We started to talk about it, but did not know until this morning that this is what he work for his school newspaper. This is what it said:
THE CIVIL WAR
General Lee's and Stonewall Jackson's birthdays are this weekend. My Mom told that on Wednesday. Stonewall Jackson got "stonewall" in his name because of one of his battles during the Civil War when the Confederate army was retreating. Jackson stood like a stonewall after the battle, and ordered his men to charge, After that Jackson was called Stonewall Jackson.
